The Fender Stories Collection Mike Campbell Red Dog Telecaster pays tribute to Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and his iconic 1972 'Red Dog' Telecaster, featured on the track 'Refugee' and in its music video. Capturing the spirit of Campbell's heavily modified original, it features an Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer 'Red Dog Red' finish, a 1-piece maple neck with a 7.25' radius fingerboard, and 21 vintage-style frets. A custom Mike Campbell Red Dog pickup set includes two vintage-style humbuckers and a Telecaster single-coil bridge pickup for versatile tones. Additional features include an onboard 'Destruct' boost circuit, a Bigsby B5F tremolo for expressive playing, and a custom 'Red Dog' neck plate. Part of the Fender Stories Collection—which celebrates legendary players and their cherished Fender instruments—the guitar comes with a vintage-style case, strap, picks, and a certificate of authenticity. This model is a fitting homage to a masterful songwriter and performer, blending vintage style with powerful sonic character.
